About Me

Sharon Davern is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist , licensed in Minnesota and Tennessee specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. She is also credentialed in Ireland.

With over 30 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of University of Wisconsin specializing in family systems and psychodynamic therapy. , s/he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are Trauma, relationship issues, co-dependency, depression and anxiety.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Sharon has presented to general audiences speaking on the topics of family and relationship issues, trauma and co-dependency.

Sharon is an interactive, psychodynamic therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Professional Activities and Memberships
Sharon was a Governor's appointee to the first Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. She was very involved in writing the rules and regulations that govern marriage and family therapists in Minnesota. She also sat on the National Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Boards and was co-author of the original prototype for ethics for marriage and family therapy boards.
